Good to Meet You
Hi,
I'm Jim and would like to welcome you to Jim Davies Photography.
I live now in East Kilbride, near Glasgow and I am heading towards my half century (although I believe 50 is the new 40). I have a partner Sharon (otherwise known as the boss), a step-son Christopher (who we are both very proud of) and we have two dogs. A Bichon Frise called Lola and a Maltese/Bichon cross called Baillie (and they get spoilt rotten)!
I have been a photographer for over the 10 years and have shot weddings from Skibo Castle in the Northern Highlands to the sandy beaches of the White Cliffs of Dover. Currently I am shooting weddings across Scotland.
In 2013 I gained my Licentiate qualification with the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers. I had been shooting already for a number of years back then but this was a big jump for me in having people that I respected in the industry look closely at my own work and I was delighted to pass.
I remain a member of the SWPP to date and have also won a number of Gold and Highly commended awards for my photography, some of which are displayed in my web site here.
I was actually nominated back in 2012 for SWPP Photographer of the year with the landscape image on this page and although I didn't win it gave me great confidence in my ability as a photographer.
I am passionate about my work and I provide high quality wedding photography, contemporary portrait photography, commercial photography and School/Nursery photography all at very reasonable, affordable prices.
Please take time to view my photography and if you like my style I'd love to discuss your day with you.
